Parking Lot and Walkway Lighting
for DTE Energy





Applied Power and Controls, Inc. were the prime electrical engineering firm that provided enhancements to the two (2) contractor parking lots and walkway at the DTE Monroe Power Plant. Completed field verifications of the existing circuits that feed parking lot lights. Reviewed the Photometric Analysis of parking lot lighting based on proposed layout. APC provided layout of lighting system showing location of new light fixtures and poles. APC also performed loading analysis and produced cable and conduit layouts. DTE preferred to have new lights fed from underground service. Provided written specification for Electrical System components. Answered any RFI’s concerning the electrical lighting layout. Prepared 75 % Construction Documents for DTE Energy review. Upon completion of DTE reviews incorporated comments into final design. Prepared cost estimates. Prepared Final Construction Documents consisting of plans and specifications. Provide Construction Phase Services consisting of answering RFI’S and site inspections during construction. Prepared and submit “As-Built “documents upon completion APC worked closely with Barton Malow personnel, DTE Energy personnel, and others as needed. All drawings were submitted in AUTOCAD format.
